They’ve had a one in 2K MT for ages. Among the things that I noticed is you’re no longer able to skip stoppages in play once they inked their gatorade deal. You’ll call timeout, the gatorade icon and stuff comes up and you can be pressing the skip button but it will not trigger before the 60 second time out is about 1.5 minutes in. They are not bad but if youhave been playing for years or’re playing with a lot of games in a row, it gets annoying. In mycareer you need to wait exactly 5 seconds for every timeout and 1.5 for offline modes. It is tedious as hell. And just obnoxious gatorade ads are already all over NBA 2K as it’s.

Right. I have jumped off MyCareer for many many reasons but five second timeout shit is so annoying. I only want to play with without being bombarded with advertisements. They are everywhere now that there is a locality: the stores themselves, the things the idiots running the stores say for you, the billboards everywhere, the pop ups that you receive as you boot up, the scenes with dialog so awful it should have been reversed after reading a single sentence which so happen to shill product also and so on and so on. The Neighborhood is among the worst things they added disguised as an advantage (it’s a community hub! You can see the rest of the players!)

Wow, you can also see NBA 2K fully loads in the bottom right corner but you are not permitted to skip the advertisement. That is awful, but thanks. What will they do next gen we will likely just have a few seconds loading times and when consoles have SSDs. Can they artificially hold you about the”loading / advertisement” screen till you’ve noticed an ad. Hey do this after timeouts. If someone calls a timeout at MyCareer until 5 minutes have passed to return to the action, you need to wait. And that goddamn forced voice line speaking about the”advantages” of Gatorade. Yeah that’s exactly what water does for us.

Sports games are more sleazy than many games that are F2P. Product placement, ads, paid loot boxes, +$60 releases that reuse over 90% of articles from the last game and it just continues on. The playerbase for these games are all Stockholm syndromed to it and will defend these game’s practices to their own deathbeds. It is sad. The final part is more that the typical console buying sports game participant is just half braindead already. Ton’s of bro’s out there purchase these game titles to play with sports games. They literally don’t care for any of this stuff.

Look at it from their standpoint, however. They do not play games and they enjoy the sport. They have friends and they enjoy playing a few games occasionally. They purchase NBA 2K and they and their friends play it. Since they don’t play games that they most likely don’t even see the problems. There’s a big difference between hardcore gamer paying a great deal for microtransactions and spending a lot of money on matches, and a casual participant purchasing a bad match and enjoying it. We should criticize the businesses that do so, and the players who are throwing a great deal of cash Buy MT 2K21 at these games.
