I had this bullshit for a kid also. Anyone old I shared a Animal Crossing Bells match with (except my Dad who’s a legend) would do the whole”you can perform this bit/change this here but anything else you need to ask.” However should they wanted to change something? They’d”perform a vote” and I’d be out numbered.
And that there is the reason my parents (very nicely) got me my own memory card/consoles, and as a grownup everything I own has a password. I mean, isn’t it sort of unfair thatIf I’m recalling correctly the entire original aim Animal Crossing was to recreate the sensation of moving into a brand new town irl. Not everyone likes you and you are likely to feel a bit alone, but you gradually make your house nicer, you get to know folks, and you actually begin to love the place you are living in, all.
I distinctly remember in the GC version of Animal Crossing I’d one NPC who I really liked (a rooster who had a lot of contemporary furniture). I talked to him every day in-game, he even employed a catchphrase I suggested. He decided to move on to bigger and better things one day. I couldn’t stop him, he had his own life to live just like so many people you meet irl. As I’ve gotten older I’ve also came to realize how true to life that is. Sometimes people just have to proceed.
Something I wish they would add is, rather than creatures just not going away ever in the event that you befriend themthey would keep in touch after they leave. Sending you mail about what they are up to, possibly with postcards and presents and stuff. Hell, they might even come back afterwards and proceed back in. The part that bites when animals move outside is they’re effectively dead; you rarely if ever hear from them ever again. I remember one of my old villagers at NL showing up at the Caribbean area again while visitjng, but that’s about it.
Yeah, it’s pretty sad to find a former villager on a mystery island and they act as if you never met before. Like we talked every day for a month and you left yesterday, why are you pretending you don’t know me?
It actually makes me miss them showing up on buy Animal Crossing New Horizons Items Main Street at New Leaf, which I did not care for at that time.
