In northern Europe, it is called “dyed fabric first”, which refers to the process of dyeing yarn or filament first and then weaving with colored yarn. This kind of fabric is called “yarn dyed fabric“.
Pay special attention to the difference between yarn dyeing and printing:
Yarn-dyeing-dyeing yarn, and then weaving with colored yarn.
Printing and dyeing-The woven fabrics are printed and dyed, such as many printed fabrics.
Yarn dyed fabric has better color fastness:
Textile printing is a surface treatment method for materials. Except for thin fabrics, dyes printed rarely penetrate deep into the fabric structure. Washing, dry cleaning and subsequent drying in rotating cages, as well as wear and tear caused by daily use, often cause fibers on the fabric surface to fall off, make the fabric surface lighter in color or expose uncolored fibers, and make the fabric fade. If the yarn is dyed, the color on the fabric will last longer.
