Personally, I hate the party area. I dislike not having the ability to give things to a specific set of individuals, but not much can be done about that without allowing real world trading I guess. Then there are the men and women who stop and wish to give away their items, but end up having most of them given to people they really* don’t feel deserve it. How many times have you ever been to fall celebrations which were crowded by a bunch of arbitrary crashers which out-compete the OSRS buy gold folks initially invited to be there? Do you actually need to reward this kind of behaviour?
